Inspired by Alba Martínez’s unforgettable experience as a young Puerto Rican migrant arriving in Philadelphia in 1985. This short film tells the touching story of a young woman navigating loneliness in a bustling city, yearning for her Latino roots and culture. Her life transforms when she discovers the 47 bus, leading to a journey of self-discovery and community connection.

It’s a celebration of Latinidad and the universal quest for belonging. Over 1,000 Philadelphia artists and community members participated in the project, contributing their talents—through visual art, music, dance, film, fashion, makeup, storytelling, and acting to create a moving tribute to a community with a great deal to offer yet often overlooked.
